Green Bay Packers fans served new playoff food to Lambeau
Triple the cheese curds. Add alcohol to hot chocolate. This is Wisconsin’s front kitchen. That’s what’s new in the menus of Lambeau field concession stands and two restaurants for the Green Bay Packers playoffs.
Perfect Spiral Burger: Festy Burger, topped with jalapenos, fried onions, Johnsonville Original Sausage Strips and Beer Sargento Cheese Sauce. Served on a spiral cheese curd roll.
What is a cheese curd roll, you ask? A savory cheesy version of a cinnamon roll.
Zac Ladubec, Executive Chef of Delaware North at Lambeau Field, explains it this way: the dough is thinly rolled with a layer of butter and spicy cheese powder as a base that is topped with crumbled cheese curds, rolled up and topped with more cheese. Rotten milk.
“When you open it, it has nice pockets of cheese and eats almost like a croissant,” Ladubec said.
